Vincenzo Barone

Born on March 10, 1933, in Lago, Italy, Vincenzo began his lifelong career as a carpenter at the young age of 15. He dedicated himself to his craft with passion, skill, and pride, building not only homes and structures, but also a legacy of hard work and perseverance.

In addition to his devotion to carpentry, Vincenzo worked full-time at General Motors, demonstrating an extraordinary work ethic and unwavering commitment to providing for his family. While balancing his career, he also built the family home with his own hands, a lasting testament to his determination, talent, and strength of character.

On October 24, 1970, Vincenzo married the love of his life, Maria, in Ontario. Together, they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and devotion. In recent years, Maria cared for him with grace and unwavering compassion, reflecting the deep bond they shared.

Vincenzo was known for being incredibly handy, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or build. He spent countless hours in his garage, always creating, repairing, or improving something. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially trips to the beach and time spent with his family, whom he cherished deeply.

He will be remembered for his craftsmanship, resilience, and kind, generous heart. Always willing to lend a hand, his warmth and selflessness touched everyone who knew him.

Vincenzo is survived by his beloved wife, Maria; his children, Michele (Brenda Barone) and Susanna (Scott) Hall; and his cherished grandchildren, Emma, Jack, and Maya.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Saveria, Michele, Nella, and Franca.

Memorial contributions may be made in Vincenzo’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Vincenzo will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Visitation will be held at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI 48152, US, on April 8, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosary at the same location on April 8, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm.

Vincenzo Barone will lie in state at Saint Genevieve-St. Maurice Catholic Church, 29015 Jamison St, Livonia, MI 48154, US, on April 9, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at the same church on April 9, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:15 am.
