

Warren Albert Teubert was born June 10, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Albert Otto and Wilhelmina Albertina Hedwig Teubert. He attended St. John Lutheran School and Church, where he served in the Walther League, then Detroit Western High School. He married the love of his life, Darlene Malmborg, who served as secretary at St. John Lutheran Church and School, before entering in the service and then proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He retired from the Ford Motor Company after serving the company as a Program Coordinator and Engineer for over 30 years.
Warren founded and directed the Mallet Park Little League (baseball) in Detroit for 80+ years for the neighborhood children. He also was founder and editor of "The Hubbell Bubble", which was the neighborhood newspaper.
Warren was the President of not only the Greater Detroit Bowling Association, but the Old Timers Tournament Association and the Detroit Lutheran Tournament. He was a delegate for the GDBA to the ABC for 15 years and bowled in 17 ABC Tournaments. He was inducted in to the GDBA Hall of Fame Award in 2000 for his meritorious service to bowling and was also the GDBA Bowlers Man of the Year in 1985.
Warren had a great sense of humor and a sense of service to others, especially to his church, family, country and community. He was an elder and usher at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Detroit as well as the Board of Education President for their school.
Warren is survived by his wife of 67 years, Darlene Teubert, their children Doug (Barbara) Teubert and Kathy A. Klann. He is the grandfather of Mike (Mariann), Lisa (Troy), Elizabeth (Paul), Lynn and Bob, Korey (Brandy), Kris and Kari (Matt), and the great grandfather of Jacob, Anna, Ben, Zachary, Rebekah, Leo and Kaelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Wilfred, Doris and Mardelle.
Friends may visit Warren’s family during a visitation on Friday March 2, 2012 at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home, 37000 W. Six Mile in Livonia, Michigan 48152 from 4-9 pm. His funeral service will be on 11 am Saturday March 3, 2012 at the funeral home.
The funeral home is located on the north side of W. Six Mile, east of I-275 and Newburgh Roads.
Warren will be laid to rest at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia, Michigan after his Military Honors Funeral Service by the U.S. Army.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the American Alzheimer’s Association or to the American Heart Association.
