Abraham Klahsen

Dr. Abraham Winfred Klahsen, husband of the late Frances Mae Klahsen nee White, passed away on August 15, 2021 at Fox Hollow Retirement Residence in London, Ontario. Born January 5,1932 in Madhira, India. Father to Ruth Klahsen, Peter Klahsen and his wife Pam Klahsen, and Andrew Klahsen and his wife Donna Kolyn. Grandfather to Daniel Szoller, Benjamin Szoller, Nathan Klahsen and his wife Stephanie, Naomi Heeg and her husband Michael Heeg, Sarah Klahsen, Susanna Klahsen, Christian Baxter, Olena Klahsen, and Matthew Klahsen. Great grandfather to Joelle Klahsen, Michaela Klahsen, Caleb Klahsen, Isabel Heeg, Eli Heeg (deceased) and Ezra Heeg. Predeceased by sister Hilda Klahsen. Survived by his sisters Katie Ferguson, Dorothy Klahsen and Helen Lightbody. He will be greatly missed by the family of Frances Klahsen nee White and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a medical doctor specializing in anesthesiology at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital as part of a long career in medicine until his retirement. The great hope of the family can be summarized by the Biblical book of Colossians 1:21-23 “And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, He has now reconciled in His body of flesh by His death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before Him, if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.” Visitation will be held on Thursday August 19th at the Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas St,, London, ON N6B 1W6 between 3 and 6 PM. A memorial service will be held on Friday August 20th at Knollwood Baptist Church, 800 Cheapside Street, London, ON, N5Y 3Y9 at 11 AM. A private burial will be held for the family.
