Candy Cornell

It is with great sadness that the family of Candy Cornell, age 69, announce her sudden passing on November 26, 2020. Candy was born August 19, 1951 in St. George's, Newfoundland.

She is the loving and devoted mother of Donna (Jeff) and Michael (Samantha). She is the cherished partner and best friend of Garth. Dear sister of Hazel, John (Kim), Irene (Richard), Chris (Eleanor), Edgar (Cora), George (Elvira), and Audrey (Jerry).

Proud Grandma to Ryan, Colin, Aubrey, and Byron.

Predeceased by father Richard, mother Mary, brothers Robert and Rick, and sister Patricia.

Candy will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile that could light up any room she walked into. Her feisty personality and wild sense of humour was contagious, and appreciated by everyone that knew her. Those that she came into contact with her will forever remember her infectious laughter, her passion for horses, and love of food.

Those who so desire may make monetary donations in memory of Candy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

A visitation (by appointment only due to COVID-19) for Candy will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service (by appointment only due to COVID-19) will occur Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM. A burial to follow at Mount Pleasant cemetery will occur following the service.
