Peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on February 1, 2025, Gerald Edward Smithers of London in his 83rd year. Beloved wife of 54 years to Eileen Smithers. Dear father to Tracey Diamond (Scott - 2013), Penny Smithers, Tammy Fraser (Bradley), Gerald Smithers and Christopher Smithers (Christie). Dear grandfather to Cory (Allie), Colton, Jamie, Sydney, Brittany (Nate), Jacob, Candice, Alannah, Laurent (Shayna), Tyler, Jarod and Zac as well as 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Freddy Smithers and sister Marilyn Perry. Visitation will be held at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St, London) on Friday February 7, 2025 from 10 am until noon with the funeral service at noon. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
