Joan Louise Jones

JONES; Joan – Passed away peacefully on May 16, 2017 in the home she lived in for over 62 years. Predeceased by her husband Ron (1975), Joan was in her 86th year. Daughter of Ollie and Lillian Nichol; sister to Margaret (Saylor). Cherished mother of Peter (Joanne), Tom (Cindy) and Jeff (Colleen); beloved grandmother of Heather (Lee), Katherine (Jim), Meghan (Todd), Nicole, Amanda, Ben, Curtis and Emily; and beloved great-grandmother to Kaitlyn, Jackson, Laurel, Maggie, Kyran and Anthony. Joan was devoted to her boys, having made many sacrifices after becoming a widow at a young age. The devotion to her family continued to grow with the addition of daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donations to Jumpstart (http://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca), or to sponsor a sport organization of choice, are Joan’s wishes. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at Needham Funeral Service, 520 Dundas Street on Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 12pm – 2pm. Funeral Service immediately following at 2pm in our Chapel.
