Nonnie, you will be missed by so many. So many that one may never know. Needless to say, your cookies were renowned. With them, you touched the lives of more people than anyone can fathom. There are endless stories that I still get to hear about you from these treasured people. The last time I got to see you brings a story to mind. I saw you saving all the food and toiletry containers you would get from the hospital service. (You know, the kind that take-out food comes in) They were all neatly cleaned and stacked in order by size upon your bedside table. I moved them when your food tray came and had to watch out that I didn't get smacked as you must have thought I was about to toss them out. You needed to save these containers for your own keepsake. It made me think back to when I was at your house helping Pop clean up a bit. I tossed some old expired coupons in the trash by the back ally when you weren't looking. As I came back into the house you asked about the whereabouts of your newspaper with all the coupons. I tried to deny it, but Catholic guilt sets in hard (especially in your presence), so I quickly fessed up. Next thing I knew I was digging through the dirty trashcan for your coupons that you would never be using. 

I'm constantly reminded about your collecting of things, as I catch myself accumulating things of the same nature. As I gave birth to your latest great granddaughter, I had to sit back and look at my own hospital bedside table and couldn't help but see you in me. It was covered with foods I couldn't see go to waste, baby items I could use when I got home, even food containers and cups I wanted to save for the kids....  Around this time, the birth certificate needed to be filled out and we were hung up on a middle name. Without realizing your discrete and hereditary influence upon me (through my bedside table), without hesitation, we came up with the middle name - Angie.... 
May a little piece of you, live on within all of us. We love you for who you were, what you instilled in all of us and for who you've left behind in this life for us to love.
