Danny Juarez was born on September 27, 1954 in City Terrace, CA and perished on August 15, 2013. An East Los Angeles native, he was the second of five siblings, Michael Jr., Gilbert, Nancy and Tommy. His parents are Aurora and Miguel T. Juarez (deceased), and he was the loving father of Daniel Jr., Jessica, Jessie (deceased) and Gilbert Juarez.
A true Angelino, Danny loved sports and classic cars; he was a Laker and Dodger fan and loved the Raiders. Upon meeting Danny for the first time, you’d see a quiet sort of man who in reality always had a joke in his pocket. Those who knew him, whether at work or family, knew that Danny was a down-to-earth, selfless hard-worker who wasn’t afraid of dirtying his hands, and was always honest and giving with friends and family, especially his children. His children were the apple of his eyes and the unconditional love he felt for them was also manifested in the creative projects he would take on, such as painting, woodworking and remodeling homes. Danny was a kind soul who was not afraid to put others’ needs before his own, be the cool guy with his nieces and nephews, counsel the young and eat! When visiting his brother Tom and his family, Tom was usually good at the grill while Danny was the good eater that admitted “Everything tastes better when it’s free!”
If you got passed Danny’s initial, quiet exterior, you’d discover a playful jokester who was also easy-going and easy to talk to. To those who knew him, Danny will never die because he lives through every memory we remember; every joke we continue to laugh at; his efforts through rough times, which we will always admire; and his children.
Danny, no more worries, may you now enjoy rest and comfort. No longer will you have a need to tire your hands; your work is done and you’ve done a great job! We know if you’d be here, you’d try to make light of your own situation; now you will go laugh with angels the way you laughed with us, and at us! We will always remember your love, nurturance and care; we simply will not forget you. Like a star, you are forever with us, shining brightly in the sky of our memories.
