Emilie Marie Hurd

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend passed away on February 28, 2011, in Long Beach, Ca. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 60 years Robert T. Hurd, her son Robert & (daughter in-law) Glenda Hurd , daughter Sandy & (son in-law) Joe Sova, and brother Gilbert Grill. Emilie was blessed with 8 Grandchildren Celeste (deceased), Glen (deceased), Craig & (wife) Heather, Rusty, Karen (deceased), Robert (deceased), Emilie & (husband) Karl Victor, and Dustin Sova. And 3 Great Granddaughters Madison, Harley and Olivia. Emilie was preceded in death by four of her grandchildren, her sisters Mary and Colleen, and brother Monsignor Philip Grill. Emilie was born in Long Beach, CA and lived a very full life, all in Southern California. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her. Emilie's love for family and her passion for life will always be remembered and cherished. Visitation will be held at Luyben Family Mortuary in Long Beach, CA on Friday, March 4th, from 3 pm to 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Cornelius Catholic Church at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 5th. Internment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Cypress, CA immediately following the services.
