Frank Rojas

Francisco "Frank" Javier Rojas Venegas, 52, returned to his heavenly home on December 30, 2014 after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Frank was born to Jose Alberto Rojas Mendoza and Norma Venegas, he survived by his mother and was immersed in the Catholic community that would be his lifelong support from an early age. In his years as a young man he enjoyed kickboxing, hand ball, bowling, and fishing. He rooted for the Dodgers and favored seafood. During his final years, he took joy in karaoke with his friends and time shared with his children and family. He graduated from Long Beach City College Electronics Technology Program in 2001 and obtained an Associate Degree in Science in 2003. Frank was employed as an independent contractor for cable installation. When diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2009, he remained dedicated in his work and in his will to fight his illness. He remained a brave, iron-willed man, throughout his final months. Frank was blessed with a large and loving family, he helped raise his five children, Natalie, Rebecca, Frankie, Cassandra, and Joshua with great love, discipline and tradition. From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the gospel. Frank leaves behind his mother Norma, sisters Lorna and Mercedes and brother Marlon, including seven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was a giving soul, if he had extra to spare, he would do it whole heartedly. He will be remembered for his prankster personality, his love of singing, and his generosity. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator. Frank requested to be cremated. His ashes will be interred at All Souls Catholic Mortuary in Long Beach. A viewing will take place at All Souls Mortuary on January 11, 2015 and a church service will held at St. Matthews Catholic Church on January 12, 2015, followed by interment of his ashes at All Souls Mortuary on January 14, 2015.
