My handsome man, you will be missed so very much.  You were like a parent to me, a very good parent! I will always love you.  You had nothing but goodness in your heart, never said a bad thing about anyone.  I will always treasure the times we spent talking about everything.  You were so full of knowledge. you will always be in our hearts and I can't wait to see you in heaven.  Tyler and I were so blessed to be loved by you. Always and forever, Marsha and Tyler

Even though the miles separated us through the years, I had an undying love for my Uncle Lou.  I can remember watching the endless convoys of military vehicles going by Grandma and Grandpa's house on Rt. 11 in Pierpont Manor, wondering if Uncle Lou was in one of them.  At this point, I, at age 5, had never met him.  Grandma helped keep the expectations alive and well.  He would soon be home from Korea.  He didn't make it home by that 1951 Christmas, but shortly after.  He had told everyone to let me know he had a Christmas present for me.  I had no idea what it could be, especially since we had never met.  The day finally arrived that I met my Uncle Lou for the first time, with present in hand.  An ERECTOR SET.  It opened a whole new horizon for me.  By far, that Christmas gift was the best gift of my childhood!  And along with that came a really GREAT man.  Something and someone I cherished my whole life.
  Because of the distance between us, I was not able to see or be around him much.  Sure wish that had been different.
  Carol and I had the opportunity to visit in February.  We cherish that time.  It was clear to us that he had a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.  He was having trouble putting words together for conversations, however when he prayed, his speech and thoughts were 100% in order.  You knew exactly what he was saying and why.  No doubt in our minds that he is with God right now!
  If only I could be half the man he is....................(because he lives on in our hearts)

MY HEART GOES OUT TO LEE'S WIFE MARY  AND CHILDREN.   HE WAS SUCH A PLEASANT PERSON ALWAYS WITH A SMILE ON HIS FACE.

I am going to miss my friend and our many, many conversations about his lovely wife Mary, his family and his Update New York and Coast Guard experiences.  His ongoing wittiness and sense of humor was always rated AAA+ for both quality and quantity!  Louis' passion for the Lord was a constant light in an increasingly darkening world.  Psalm 46:1 is a recommended verse during those days and nights, weeks and months and the years when it is too much for one to bear!  My prayers are constantly with Mary and the Brownlee Family!
