I never got to meet you in person, But I enjoyed hearing everything you did and enjoyed doing. Thank you for having us Shirley! I loved meeting all of the friends and family of the Davis'.

To the Davis family. Shirley and Marvin have been a wonderful part of the Baker's and Beecher family.  They gave my sister her first apartment and then I moved into their property years later and my mom and it was where my Grammy stayed until she went to be with my Papa. Shirley and Marvin have always been kind and wonderful people and my Grammy thought Marvin was Hoot! because they always talked about the news. I'm truly saddened by your loss and I know God takes care of good kind folks so I know Mr. D. is charge of building all the mansions and His I know is beautiful.  God Bless you Shirley and Family.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marvin (Mr. D) back in 1989 when he & Shirley rented me my first apartment, from that day be became more than a landlord, he was a friend. In our life time we meet wonderful men, good men, but Marv was a Great Man. Marv will truly be missed I will forever keep your memory with me. Safe Journey my friend...

So sorry for your loss. Ps 90:10 says that our years on average are 70 or 80. Yet it promises that there will come a time when we can live forever at Ps 37:29. Deepest sympathy.

Grandpa you were the best!! My favorite childhood memory of you was swerving the car into Thrifys for ice cream after church as if the car made you do it!!!!! I was blessed 38 years with you and so happy all my kids got to meet their Great Grandpa!!! Will always miss you!!! Love you!

Our love and prayers are with you all during the home-going celebration of Marvin's life. We're sad for your loss, but happy in his rest.

Uncle Marv has always been one of my heroes.  Rest in Peace, kind uncle.  I'll be thinking of you every moment until we meet with family and friends at your memorial service.
