Myrah Destiny Hunter was born in Lynwood, California on May 30, 2024, to Meicole Johnson and Gerald Hunter. Her parents resided in Long Beach, California and a year later added Myrah’s younger brother, Jeremiah Hunter to the family union.
Myrah came into this world very alert and calm as she was introduced into the arms of her loving parents. As the months passed, Myrah’s personality began to develop and she had a smile that could light up any room. She quickly became a big lover of sports as she watched basketball and football games with her dad. Her mother described as the “most amazing little girl anyone could ever ask for - she was my rainbow baby.”
Myrah was a loving and caring big sister to Jeremiah; she often would give him his pacifier when he cried and sneak him food when she thought he was hungry. She sometimes acted as a guardian by pushing her brother back when he got too close to the edge of the bed and played with him in their playpen. Myrah loved being outside with nature and playing with the family dogs and cats. Myrah was a cuddler who loved to cuddle during sleep with her mom, dad or baby brother.
Myrah was a “Foodie.” She loved Gumbo, her Mom’s Cream of Mushroom Smothered Chicken over Rice, Candied Yams, Macaroni and Cheese, Fruit Cups, Strawberries, Watermelon, Cheeto Puffs, Go-Gurts and Chewing ice.
Myrah was an intelligent baby who loved singing her ABCs, counting to 10 forwards and backwards and she also enjoyed playing chase, or rather running from others who playfully chased her. Myrah also watched the “Ms. Rachel” educational programs, the Super Simple Songs and the Madagascar “A Little Wild” shows, as well as her favorites movies; Rio and anything Minions. Myrah loved to sing, dance, and color. Her favorite songs were “Sing to Me” by Jhene Aiko and Little Things by Ella Mai. Myrah is dearly loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Myrah leaves behind to cherish her precious memories:her loving parents, Gerald Hunter and Meicole Johnson, her brother Jeremiah Hunter, grandfather, Michael Johnson Sr., grandmother, Sherrell Griffin, step-grandfather Tavares Calep Sr., great-grandmother Jewel Byers, God-mother and aunt Precious Byers, aunts; Linda Hicks, Kiresha Hunter, Leshel Johnson and Tynisha Johnson; uncles; Lyndon Hicks, Derald Hunter, Damion Hunter, Michael Johnson Jr., Tavares Calep Jr. and Wesley Calep, and a host of other relatives and family friends.
