Nancy Daley

1932 - 2010

In loving memory of Nancy (Scanlan) Daley, born October 16, 1932, passed away peacefully at home on April 16th after a long illness. Born and raised in Long Beach, Nancy graduated from Poly High in 1950 and married Art Daley in 1955. Nancy and Art were married for 54 years and raised 5 wonderful children. Nancy was a loving and caring person, thoughtful and interested in everyone around her. Her passions were her love for God, family, country and the Anaheim Angels. Nancy had a series of strokes and pulmonary disease since 1997, but always had a positive spirit and rarely complained about her disabilities. She is survived by her husband, Art; her 5 children: son, Thomas Daley (wife, Karen), son, Joseph Daley, daughter, Ann (husband, Michael Getscher), daughter, Teresa (husband, Bud Henderson), daughter, Jeannie (husband, Jason Chism); her grandchildren: Brittany, Megan, Matt, Christopher and Timothy; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She will forever be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her. Visitation hours will be on Thursday evening, April 22 beginning at 5:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Luyben Family Dilday-Mottell Mortuary, 5161 E. Arbor Road, Long Beach, CA 90808. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, April 23, 10:00am at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 3955 Orange Ave., Long Beach. Interment immediately follows at All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Long Beach.
