Today my heart broke when I saw this. I do Elder Care for a living and my client wanted to look through the obits. I cried for 1/2 an hour when I saw this incredible picture of Bob. 
For 5 months, I've ignored that 'still small voice' saying "Call the Maneys" "See how Bob is".  Something I will regret for a long time. When people ask 'Who made the biggest difference in your life when you were young' I instantly think of Bob Maney. He was so encouraging and fun. When he'd see me years later as an adult in the grocery store he'd yell out "HEY PAMMY".  
This world was a greater place with him in it and I am so blessed to have had him, and all of you, as a small part of my life. My heart and prayers are with you.

To Carolyn and the Maney family, we are so sorry that Bob has left us in physical statue but his warmth and friendship will be with all of us forever! Bob was my Program Manager at Rockwell during the modem business with Digital Equipment Corporation.  Our friendship has out lasted our jobs and he is the type of person that you can always call “My Friend”.  Denise and I wish your family the best during this difficult time and our thoughts and our prayers are with all of you.

I will be with you in thought on Saturday.  Although George and I (and Andrew on one visit) only took a couple of trips out to visit your family, the memories and photos relive days filled with siteseeing (with Scott in charge in LA), meeting the grandkids, your dad driving down the coast to a restaurant that had "authentic" New England fried clams.  A trip to San Diego and to the LA Angels stadium.  We had a ball!  Bob, I know, found a wonderful life in California thanks to that nice Polish girl who lured him out there to begin a new life. May heaven be all he wished it to be...18 holes of golf forever!

Thinking of you and remembering a wonderful man who helped guide us through our high school years.

Bob's greatness will live on in our dedicated works at the Stramski Development Center. We will keep his mission alive and do so with great honor. Love and God's blessings to all of you, his dearest ones.

All of us at the Stramski Center are so blessed and honored to have been the recipients of Bob's lavish dedication and care for our families. He is a true inspiration and left a legacy of incredible magnitude. He will be greatly missed but remembered with great affection for his fighting spirit and unmoving commitment to seeing things through.

Bob was a great friend, always upbeat and a pretty darn good golfer.  Those of us who played golf with him remember his competitive spirit and good-natured approach to the game.  Bob will be missed.

I was sorry to hear that Uncle Bob passed on. My prayers and heart are with you all in your time of sorrow. 

He was my favorite uncle on Dad's side of the family and I am privledged to have been able to visit you in Long Beach and get to know him so many years ago. I hold those memories dear. I will also never forget the dinner we had in Chicago on one of his travel lay-overs: He ordered steamed clams for an appetizer and then again for dessert! We laughed and he said never to tell Aunt Carolyn... He loved and lived life. He will be missed.

I pray your memories will give you all comfort in your sorrow.

It comforts me to know that he must have had quite the Christmas family reunion in heaven with my parents!   God Bless.

Don and I were so proud and privileged to know Bob, and his always present smile.  His memory will be a "forever" one to those of us who knew him and to those who were touched by his caring endeavors with the Stramski Center.  Our love goes to Carolyn and the family.

The Hooper family will greatly miss the one and only, Bob Maney.  We related to Bob in so many ways.  He and my mom shared ties to Boston.  Our families  shared a passion for the work of Stramski and Memorial Hospital, and a several year tie-in with his grandson (Holden) and my son, Jake in baseball...etc.

I loved seeing Bob show up to the baseball field to watch Holden play with or against my son, Jake in baseball... as Scott and I coached with or against one another.  Bob was such a supportive and proud grandfather.  He would always encourage Jake at these games and was such an important and reliable presence.  

My favorite memories of Bob though revolve around when he would come to our car wash to get his car cleaned every week or so.  I would be sitting at the back desk behind an "employees only" door sign.  Bob would love to barge in without knocking and start complaining about his car wash even before his car had a drop of soap or water on it!  It was always a fun moment in my day!  He would come give me a hearty hand shake and make me share a breakfast burrito with him, and just catch up on life a bit, while he waited for his car.  His east coast sensibilities, with his gruff exterior and teddy bear interior are what made him so endearing to me.  We will miss you Bob.  You leave behind a terrific legacy of a beautiful family!  We are comforted by the fact that we will still get to see a little bit of you every time we see your family!  May God bless the Maney family during this most difficult time.
