Shirley Ann Murray died at home surrounded by her loving family. Born Shirley Ann Thissen in Wesley, Iowa. She grew up on a small farm, and attended Catholic School. After graduating high school she worked in a hat shop, record shop, and modeled for the Boston Stores.
In 1951 Shirley married Donald Murray and they started their family. They had 6 children; Jayne, Joan, Mitch, Dawn, Wendy, and Paul, who surrounded their mother with love and care.
Many people knew Shirley as a loving, kind and generous mother, grandparent, aunt and friend. Her house was always open to anyone in need of physical or spiritual help.
Shirley was a member of Holy Family Church, St. Peter Chanel and Breath of the Spirit. Shirley lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
