Barbara N. Busby Key, 88, of Longview, TX passed away December 7, 2018 in Longview. She was born May 16, 1930 in Marianna, AR to Clarence and Helen Busby. After graduating from Forrest City High School, Barbara married Cecil Elvis Key. She enjoyed caring for her children and everything that it means to be a mom. She loved to cook and was known for making wonderful desserts for her family.
Barbara is survived by her sons: Cecil Elvis Key, Jr. and his wife Amy of Dunn Loring, VA, Mark Andrew Key and his wife Cindy of Louisville, KY, Richard Kevin Key and his significant other, Jennifer of Carrollton, TX; daughter: Treva Lynne Key of Longview; four grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother: Richard Busby and his wife Shannon of Crittenden County, AR; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Cecil Elvis Key, Sr.
A service to celebrate Barbara’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX. 75604. A reception with time to visit with her family will be held immediately following the services in the Gathering Room of the funeral home. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org/donate.
