Belinda Faye Weatherall, of White Oak, Texas, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born in McAllen, Texas on Saturday, January 5, 1952, to Ernest Hodge and wife Bessie Faye (Byrd) Hodge.
Belinda had many passions and a heart full of love. She found joy in music, singing, and dancing. Her love for her grandchildren was immeasurable and she cherished every moment spent with them. An artist at heart, she had a profound love for painting and artwork, and would light up after she finished a piece.
Her smile, beautifully contagious, was a radiant reflection of her mother’s and was a beacon of her spirit that touched everyone around her. She had a unique ability to converse with ease, making you feel instantly comfortable while validating your feelings and making you feel special and loved. Her words of affection, “I love you too, sweetie,” will forever echo in our hearts.
She had a fondness for ‘Wheel of Fortune’, a simple pleasure that brought her immense joy. A cherished memory from her younger days was singing with her sister, Sharon Rigsby, brother, John Hodge, and her Mom and Dad. Often, they would sing in front of the church congregation with their father leading the service as the Church Pastor.
As we remember her, we celebrate the memories we made together, the joy she spread, and the lives she touched. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Peace is in knowing that she is now in her eternal home present with our Lord and Savior, Jesus and her loved ones that welcomed her there with smiles and opened arms.
She is survived by her two sons, Sean David Butler, his wife Peggy Butler, and Adrian Paul Butler, his wife Allison Butler, her three step-children, Amy Cook, her husband Eric Cook, Gay Noble, and Andrew Weatherall, his wife Larissa Weatherall, her sister Sharon Rigsby, her husband John Rigsby, brother, John Hodge, his wife Jenny Hodge and her ten grandchildren (listed by age), Zachary Nathaniel Butler, Jackson Lowe Bates, Cameron Dean Bates, Chloe LeeAnne Bates, Matthew Jacob Butler-Norsch, Rory Grey Weatherall, Nathan Drew Weatherall, Robert Ernest Butler, Edward Adrian Butler, and Avery Joann Weatherall, and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Hodge (d. October 1, 2019) and mother, Bessie Faye (Byrd) Hodge (d. April 1, 2007), and her loving husband, Jerry Dale Weatherall (d. April 19, 2016).
