Bobbie Ruth Smith Hargrave

Mrs. Hargrave was born on February 16, 1935 in Belzoni, Mississippi to Robert James and Velma Lucille Blackledge Smith. She married Jesse Nelson Hargrave on July 4, 1953 in Anguilla, Mississippi. She loved to travel with him. She worked for Dr. John Wensley, and then in the offices of Industrial Steel and later for National Linen.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Nelson Hargrave of Longview, Sons and Daughters-In-Law: John Hargrave and his wife: Jenna of Union Grove and Robert Hargrave and his wife Karen of Hayes, Virginia; grandchildren: Jaclyn Watson and her husband Mark of Union Grove, John Macy Hargrave and his wife Marluala of San Diego, CA, Robert Hargrave of Hayes, VA, Stephen Hargrave of Hayes, VA, Shelby Hargrave of Galax, VA; Great Grandchildren: John Mason Procell of Union Grove, Austin Procell of Union Grove, and Anna Luiza Hargrave of San Diego, CA; Sister: Tommie Linton of Oakland, Oregon; Brothers: Billy Smith and his wife Kay of Jackson, Tenn, Darrell Smith of Greenville, Miss. She was preceded in death by: her parents, and her sister-Lucille Windham.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, TX, with Rev. Ricky Ricks officiating with entombment in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 6-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
