David Ray Barrett

He was born and raised in White Oak, Texas to Nathaniel Lester and Zettie Alberta Barrett, and graduated from White Oak High School in 1954. He later joined the Army National Guard for a total of 6 years. David married Ellen Jewel Elmore in 1958 and together the couple had 2 children. He was a Tooling Inspector at Lone Star Army Ammunition, where he worked for more than 32 years. In his spare time, David enjoyed working on metal work and things of mechanical nature. His friends and family will always remember him as being a meticulous person!

David is preceded in death by his parents Nathaniel Lester Barrett (father) and Zettie Alberta Barrett (mother), sister Barbara Dowell, and Mark Anthony Barrett, son.

He is survived by his: wife, Ellen Jewell Barrett; son, Victor Craig Barrett (Ann); brother, Nathan Baron Barrett (Patty); sister, Josett Busby; brother, Nathaniel Lester Barrett (Gayle); grandchildren, Lindsay Jordan (Jerrell), Cody Barrett (Brittany), Roman Duke (Kathryn), and Sarah Duke; 10 great-grandchildren.
