Donald Eugene Williams

Donald Eugene Williams, 81, of Costa Mesa, CA, passed away May 2, 2016 at his daughter’s home in Costa Mesa while under the care of hospice. He was born June 11, 1934 in Kilgore to Roe and Etta Perkins Williams. He worked in the oil fields most of his life. He was very much a care giver and loved taking care of the elderly and children.

He is survived by his children: Diana Cooper and her husband Bruce of Waco; Daran Williams and Marcia Bowers of Frazier Park, CA; Denise Ransdell and her husband Rick of Costa Mesa, CA; Dugan Williams and his wife Luisa of Palm Springs; Ricky Joe Williams and his wife Maria “Lupe” of Bell Gardens, CA; his life partner: Mary Cooper of Fountain Valley, CA; his brothers: Otho Douglas Williams of Kilgore and Doyle Dean and Pat Williams of Odessa, TX; grandchildren: Michael Kirkland, Charles Kirkland, Robert Scott Williams, Jennifer Vasquez, Patrick Williams, Veronica Williams, Deirdre Williams, Raymond Ransdell, Michael Ransdell, and Shirley Ransdell; several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son-David Williams, father-Roe Williams, mother-Etta Williams, brothers-Franklin Udolph Williams, Jack Williams, Ronald Williams, Fred Williams, Danny Williams and grandson-Gary Kirkland.

A time of visitation with his family will be held from 2 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, Texas with funeral services following the visitation in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in his honor to HOME—The American Stroke Foundation @ www.americanstroke.org.
