Eleanor Iva Dell Coones Woods

Ms. Woods was born on May 5, 1919 to Joseph William Coones, a farmer, and Dollie Mitchell Coones.

Ms. Iva Dell was also known to many as Mama Dell. She loved to sew, collect frogs, can different foods, and caring for her African violets. She had been a beautician for 25 years before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family at gatherings, reunions, and holidays. She was a fine Christian lady who was loved by all. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Mineola, TX.

Iva Dell is survived by her son: Jack Woods of Longview, TX, daughter: Beverly Warren and her husband Joe of Ft. Worth; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; brothers: Lonnie Coones and his wife Ethel of Longview, Roy Coones and his wife Dorothy of Longview, Gene Coones and his wife Fern of Golden, TX, Ed Coones and his wife Betty of Arlington, TX, and Donald Coones of Gilmer; as well as a number of nieces nephews and other loving family members. She was preceeded in death by her parents, and sisters: Marie Davis and Mary Lee McCoy.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Adams officiating. Pallbearers will be: Ryan Davenport, Jason Russell, Kenneth Coones, Lonnie Joe Coones, George Davis and Brad Woods. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the funeral home.
