Flo was born on August 29, 1932, in Overton, Texas, to Jess and Mary Hunt. She moved to Longview after graduating from high school, where she married her beloved Leo Loftin, with whom she shared 58 years of love and devotion. Flo was a well-known and cherished member of the Longview and Hallsville communities. She worked in management at Sears Roebuck for 25 years and was a faithful servant of God, raising her family at Little Flock Baptist Church before attending Woodland Hills Baptist Church in her later years.
Living life with positivity, joy, and an unwavering love for the Lord, Flo treasured her family, friends, and the many memories they created together. She especially enjoyed traveling with loved ones to their family cabin in Colorado that her husband had built. Other favorite travel memories included Las Vegas, Branson, and Louisiana's “Boats.” Flo was also fond of the RV lifestyle at the lake, and she often played cards and dominoes with friends. She had a love for oil painting and a deep adoration for her family, which was always her greatest joy.
Flo was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Josephine Hunt Harris; and her husband, Leo. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Loftin Segovia and Shirley Loftin Ayers; grandchildren Tina Phillips Wienecke and husband Byron, Terry Phillips, Jonathan Ayers and wife Lauren, and Garrett Ayers; great-grandchildren Matthew Borden, Elle Wienecke, Carter Ayers, Hudson Ayers, Adeline Ayers, and Olivia Ayers; and siblings Clarence Edward (Ed) Hunt and Jessie Nell Hunt Still.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Lakeview Funeral Home, 5000 West Harrison Road, Longview, with Rev Dr. Jeff Olive officiating. An entombment will follow the service at Lakeview.
Flo’s legacy of faith, love, and joy will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed, but forever in the hearts of her family and friends
