

Frances Elizabeth French Flash, 94, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, at Community Hospice in Fort Worth. She had been a resident of a local nursing home in Kilgore for the past two years. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 10, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Longview.
Frances was born March 17, 1917, in Nursery, Texas. She was the youngest of three daughters born to Robert Lee French and Caroline Stephens French. She graduated from Miranda City High School and attended nursing school. She married Irvin Flash on August 13, 1938. They had two children, Larry and Linda. They moved from Freer, Texas, to Longview in 1951 to the farm where both Frances and Irvin lived until she moved to the local Kilgore nursing home. Irvin resided in the home until he passed away in June at the age of 100.
Frances was an avid reader, especially her Bible. She loved the Lord and looked forward to eternity with her savior and her family.
She is survived by her son, Larry Flash of Longview and his daughters, Carrie Stapleton and Lisa Annan (John). Frances is also survived by Linda Flash Davis (Ray) of Dallas and their children, Jeff Davis, Jill Davis and Kris Davis Manzke (Lee). She has seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
