Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Lyon, 83 of Longview will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Mr. Lyon was born June 6, 1927, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Fred Augustus and Clarine Narcomy Lyon, and passed away on August 28, 2010 in Longview.
Mr. Lyon was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II. He retired after many years with Atlantic Richfield Corporation (ARCO). After his retirement he went to work for Wal Mart and retired from there after ten years of service. He enjoyed gardening and wood carving.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Floyd Lyon. Freddie is survived by his loving wife, Florence “Red” Lyon; his daughter, Judy Antwiler and husband Delmo; grandchildren, Stacey Smith; Chris Chapman; and Ashley Woodard; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Sattler Coburn; Gloria Clements; Mary Lange; and brother, Terry Lyon.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
