I was able to know you your entire life. I was truly lucky to have such a great brother like you. You always knew how to make me laugh and smile. My favorite memory was in high school some girl was running her mouth to me. So i decided to fight her. Well i took my heels off and earrings and out of no where you came and stood in front of me and said she wasn’t worth it. Everyone that knew you weren’t the person to talk someone out of fighting. But that day you decided to. You wouldn’t move out the way. You kept saying I can’t let you hit her that’s my job. I’m the one mom is supposed to be mad at for fighting not you. Then Coach Koch picked me up and put me in his room. You stood there with that girl and told her you just saved her from an ass whooping.  You were always my world and still are. I love you so much Garrett. I will always love you. I know your in heaven with Dad watching over me. God gained a Great Angel. I miss you! 

Garrett came over to Madison's house one night, and it was storming  terribly. One of the umbrellas that was on the back porch had gotten loose and was flying around the yard. I went outside to catch it, but I barely had a chance to get my hands on it because when it was almost in my hands Garrett comes sprinting down the hill and snatches it out of the air. He was running so fast it looked like he was flying. Every time I think about that night, it just reminds me of how much he did for me, for everybody else. He was always available, even when he wasn't supposed to be. I love you, Garrett. Rest easy, big brother.

While Garrett was playing high school football Tatum was playing Lufkin in Lufkin so I attended his game with Grams. After the game I’ll never forget the first thing he did was wipe his sweat on me, like any good big cousin would, and then I recieved the best and stinkiest hug. He was playful, strong willed, goofy, protective, caring, and loving. He may not have lived in our neighborhood but he was just as much a part of our circle. I love you big Garrett. 

I have struggled knowing what to say other than we are so sorry for your loss Monica.  We will continue to pray that God will keep his arms wrapped around you and Ashley and bless you with peace in your heart knowing Garrett is no longer feeling any pains. Love to all of you.

Garrett, I know I already wrote a memory but day by day this just gets harder and harder. I miss you so much. I miss your sarcasm, those big bear hugs you gave to everyone, the six flags trip we took and you almost getting us kicked out, living with us for over a week and me making fun of how bad your feet smelled, you eating everything you could find in my fridge and pantry, helping me clean up that pile of trash that took 3 hours bc we were just goofing off the entire time, me you and Ann rapping to crazy rap song, me getting so mad at you that you’d always, always, always, seemed to call me right before I went in to see a patient and got even more mad when I realized we had been on the phone for 30-45 minutes each time and got zero work done, you getting your truck stuck in my front yard and had to get dirt to come pull you out with his mini coop LOL, our group chats and how funny you alway made it, you throwing up in my bathroom sink bc apparently the toilet was one step to far for you to go and then having all of us laughing our heads off bc you started shoveling it out with a spoon bc I refused to clean it up. Man I’m going to miss you. You were the type of friend that was always there, no matter what. You drove me insane 99.9% of the time but I loved you and you knew that,  thank you for loving me as well as all your friends.  I will never forget you. Rest easy love

You were an awesome person to know Garrett you’ll be missed  but you’ll remain in are hearts forever along with the memories we all have R.I.P Garrett love you bro. Much love Colton.

I remember watching Garrett run track and field at the meets, he was quite the athlete!   My thoughts and prayers are with Monica and his family🙏🏻

Garrett, I met you for the first time at your dad's funeral. He used to talk about you all the time. Bro I know losing your dad was extremely hard moment. We'll never understand why, but I know you are with your dad now. Rest in Peace buddy.

Garrett thank you being the big brother to your lil sis. You were like my son and will be missed soo much.  I remember how we would always play fight and you were scared I would bench press you. Garrett has been in my life for the last decade, and in that period, he has blessed me with many memories along the way to our adult lives. In the classroom, he would keep everyone awake and never leave a moment dull; because desk pyramids are definitely not dull. Garrett would speak his mind and stand up for others regardless who opposed him. On the field, he would make his presence known by being one of the loudest and most precise defensive players I ever had the pleasure of playing with. On the track, he was a legend, and his speed was unmatched once competition became present. His mark is on Tatum sports that is for sure. 
As an adult he was a hard worker, I experienced that first hand for a while with Capacity of Texas. He would come to work every day with a great attitude and ready to hone his skills doing what he loved, and that's dealing with anything with an engine. In life, Garrett truly made work and any other situation bearable and fun. 
I will cherish every memory for the rest of my life, and I will be sure to share some with my son, especially the Elvis Presley style touchdown celebration. 

Monica and Ashley, I am so sorry you are going through such pain and loss of your precious Garrett!! Prayers and love for all of you!!! ❤️

My dear sweet cousin. Our family will not be the same without you. For now I will cherish every memory we carry together from our child hood, but we will see each other again one day. I love you Garrett. 

I know I didn’t  know you too well, but the memories we did have were incredible. Taking me home. Telling me stupid jokes. And walking me down the isle and my sister and Joshua’s wedding. I remember you saying “we got this, I’ll try and look shorter so I can be on your level” thank you for making me look like a midget. Thank you for being such a caring friend to my sister; Christina. She called me today and told me all that happened. And she didn’t  hesitate go tell me all yalls memories, a few tears were shed, but now you’re at peace . Rest easy sweet boy. And watch over Joshua and Christina during this time.  They miss you dearly. 

What can I say? I miss you. So much. I miss the smolder you did in all our pictures, I miss your goofy laugh and the God awful puns you'd come up with and call me just to share. I miss the relentless teasing and the loud complaining about traffic, the way you made me smile even when I was mad at you. I miss coloring in your sleeve with a washable marker, and watching you drive because you seemed more peaceful there than when you slept, and I miss watching you play with Aurora. You were the best doggie dad. I'd give anything at all to hear you call me a loser again. Here's to the most caring guy I've ever known. I love you. 

Every time I saw him. He always had a smile and a hug for me. If he knew I was sad or anything...he would always say turn that frown upside down. He was like a son to me because him and my son were best friends. He will be greatly missed..love you

I remember You so vividly as a young little boy, rambunctious and smiling all of the time!! You were so loved Garrett! You ARE my long lost twin that we seemed to make everyone go insane to the point we either got punched or had a very heavy object thrown at our heads. There's so many memories of you and I, I immediately bust into laughter. You were the most loyal, blunt truth tell, caring guy I've ever met. Everyday I was thankful and still am to have you in my life and my kid's life. You were an amazing uncle to Liam and Kinsely and I'm forever in your debt. I'll see you again Brother.

I remember after krytter died all I had to do is make one phone call. He showedd up one night at 3 am just because and we sat in the truck for hours just talking. You were the strong one of us both. I talked to him that Saturday night glad we got one last laugh together 

Though we didn’t know you a life time. We did know you a short time. And in that short time we knew just how bright your smile was, just how beautiful your heart was, and just how great your sense of humor was. Every time we saw you we were always at car meets. You loved your bike and loved even more showing it off. You were always laughing but better yet making everyone around you laugh harder. You had such a beautiful soul and lit up every room. And you were taken from this world too soon. May god bless you and bless your family too. Keep us a spot up there in heaven. Though we know you will be visiting us in spirit down here on earth. Ive known you for as long as I can remember and for every moment of us knowing each other we have been brothers. ill never forget you or any of the memories we had made. Long days and nights of running around outside or long days and nights staying inside playing video games. My oldest memories will always have you in them. I'll never forget you brother.

He was my bff someone I run to when I couldn't face life n held me when I need it ,made me laugh.  I miss u I wish u wasn't gone love u. I remember the bonfire we had he alway made sure everyone was smiling n laughing n when we lost kritter he was the strong one he held us together 

I can remember a weekend we traveled to Katy,Tx to spend some time at Bobby Jr’s. All the girls decided to camp outside in the horse trailer. At one point we heard some loud banging and “dog howls”. We all screamed, I myself was terrified. Ashlie yelled, “Garrett you better stop!”  Followed by Garrett’s laughter and footsteps running back to the house. Those were the good days... living young, wild & free. Growing up as adults my cousin Garrett and I don’t have a lot of memories. Which I will regret dearly at this point of life. But that is how I will always remember him, for his laughter, his joking around.. young, wild & free! 

We had quite a few memories but my favorite was having you to love. You’ll always be my best friend. You always did give the best hugs whenever you knew I needed them. I’ll always love you and forever cherish our memories together. 

I seen you in Walmart not to long ago and you asked what have I been up to and I said life and work. You smiled at me hugged me and said yea life is hard sometimes. I appreciated that so much. Garrett you will be missed and cherished forever 😘

I'm very blessed to have had the pleasure of getting to know Garrett I came into there family through his cousin Hayden we became good friends and I ended up staying with them for a period of time watching Garrett grow into the man he became was an honor he had a true passion for anything with wheels and if he could turn a wrench on something he wasn't afraid to do so. RIP bud your loved by so many you'll never be forgotten.

Simply put i love you man you are the brother i always wanted and im grateful that you had been a part of my life i will miss you and ill keep your memory with me forever.

As time gets closer I'm realizing more than I ever have before dont take time for granted always tell your love ones that you love them and show them bc you never know when that time will come .. brother only God knows why what happened and theres nothing we can do to change it all we can do now is do better by you and going for our dreams and goals and achieving them .. Garret was like a little brother to me and a brother to my brother Michael foster he was with me in our truck club and helped out through hard times when my son had his surgery he will always be remembered as a great person and friend and little brother to me

As unreal as this is for me and how
much I don’t want to believe it I’m thankful I have so many fun memories with this crazy, fun loving man.  Garrett thank you so much for being a good friend, and making every moment a good one. I love you dude, so much. I’m gonna miss you. 

What a great guy .we had large groups of us for Christmas Eve and New year's for the last couple of years .I just heard a couple hours ago .I m so sorry for your family.i hope they find peace in all this .rip Garrett .
