

Rev. Harlon Ellis, 91, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday morning, February 16, 2018. Harlon was born March 6, 1926 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. Harlon was a retired Elder in the Church of the Nazarene having been a pastor to churches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Colorado. Harlon is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Viola Ellis; his wife of 59 years, Reba Roberta McCauley-Ellis; his brothers, Kenneth and Melvin; his sister, Margie and his daughter-in-law Diana. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Reba Christel; his children, Jimmy of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Janie and husband Jerry Weatherford of Longview, Dan and wife Judy of Caddo, Oklahoma, Glendon and wife Margaret of Grove, Oklahoma; Darlene Johnson of Longview and stepson, Michael and Linda Coleman of Henderson, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and 5 step grandchildren.
Rev. Ellis’ ministry affected the lives of many. A devoted man with a heart to see souls saved, he will forever be in our memories as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and son. He will be sorely missed.
Celebration for Rev. Ellis’ graduation from the Church militant to the Church Triumphant will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home- visitation Monday February 19, 2018 from 6-8pm and memorial services Tuesday February 20, 2018 at 2 pm.
