Helen Bozarth Young

Virginia Helen Young, 90, of Longview, went to her heavenly home on May 18, 2016 at a nursing home in Kilgore. She was born February 21, 1926 in Drumwright, OK to Joseph and Amy Rosella Wimbish Bozarth. Helen graduated from White Oak High School and on September 4, 1943 married the love of her life, B. D. Young at the Greggton First Baptist Church. B. D. preceded her in death on May 1, 2007. She worked at the Gregg County Courthouse as a law librarian until her retirement and was a long time member of Greggton First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son: Micheal Young and his wife Barbara of Kilgore; daughter: Beverly Diane of Longview; son: John Young and his wife Ellen of Tyler; brother: Charles Bozarth and his wife Bettie of Longview; seven grandchildren: Karen Mantooth, Teresa Williams, Micheal Young, Tiffaney Goodwin, Jeff Rushing, Ariel Young and Meagan Young; as well as 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents: Joe and Amy Bozarth; her husband of 63 years, B.D. Young; brothers: Robert Bozarth, Tommy Bozarth, and John Bozarth; granddaughter: Brandi Rainwater; grandsons: Chris Rainwater and Bradley Young and great granddaughter: Whitney Renee Ottens.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 2 until service time at the funeral home.
