Lawana was born April 24th, 1933 in Longview, Texas to Ray and Mable Lockley. Lawana was a long time resident of Kilgore Texas and a 1951 graduate from Kilgore High School. She owned and operated her own daycare for 16 years, which she kept many children from newborns till age 5 (school age). She was a member of Forest Home Baptist Church for many years.
Lawana was preceded in death by her parents; a son,
Steve Hutson, and her husband Travis Fried. She leaves behind a daughter Lee Ann Jones and her husband John Jones. Two grandchildren, Shelby Turley and her husband Trea Turley. Malcolm (Buck) Myers and his wife Stacy Myers. Five great grandchildren; Tyler Turley, Hannah Turley, Chance Myers, Marlayna Myers, and Trent Turley. All from Kilgore.
Lawana will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The Memorial Service for Lawana June Fried will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Lakeview Memorial; Harrison Road, Longview, Texas.
