Mrs. Peace was born July 11, 1937 in Eureka, Kansas, to George Franklin and Verna Gayle Walford Lillie. She was a School Teacher and taught kindergarten at Kilgore Heights, where she taught for 27 years. She enjoyed camping watching tennis, UMW at her church, and she loved to decorate for each and every holiday. Mrs. Peace also enjoyed collecting Raccoons. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Douglas Martel Peace; and one sister Louise. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons, Douglas Martel “Marty” Peace, Jr.; and Mickey Lynn Peace and wife Sandi, both of Kilgore, Texas; Grandchildren Dawn Peace of Melissa, Texas; Mikki Lynn Peace; Bradley Michael Peace and Joshua Ryan Peace all of Kilgore, Texas. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Tray Epps; Brayden Williams, and Jessie Johnigan. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 15, 2014, at Lakeview Funeral Home.
