Lois Mae Skinner

She lived in East Texas most of her life. She graduated from Gaston High School 1945. She was a hard worker who devoted all she had to caring for her many family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and strong faith in God. She attended Faith Baptist Church in Longview.

She worked at Longview Bridge and Road for 6 years and prior to that she worked at Industrial Power and Service for 30 years.

She had many family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Her survivors are, sisters, Dorothy; Norma; and Orvillene; brother Junior Murrell and multiple nieces and nephews. Her children are Cathy Sellers and her husband Mike Sellers, Thomas Haney and was preceded in death by her son Bruce Porter, three step children from her second marriage to Edward Skinner are Kay Burkett, Don Skinner, and Glen Skinner, grandchildren, Suzanne Simons, Danielle Sellers, Shane Sellers, and Stacey Dean and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 9, 2011 between 5-9 pm at Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at the funeral home, Monday, January 10, 2011 at 2pm. Brother David Webber will be officiating.
