Loraine Pickard

Clara Loraine Pickard, age 85, passed away on 3/27/26 in Carthage, TX. She was born on 7/11/1940 in Henderson, TX to Edwin Carroll Rowe and Clara Matilda Turner Rowe. Loraine was raised in Shreveport, LA and graduated from Byrd High School in 1958. She married Kenneth Wayne Pickard in 1958 and was married for 56 years at his time of death in 2014.

She eventually settled in White Oak, Texas and attended Pine Tree Church of Christ for over 50 years. They had 4 children. Loraine worked for many years at Michael’s Art and Crafts Store. She retired as Office Manager of Elite Plastics, Ltd., where she worked for her daughter Reneé and former son-in-law Joey. Art was her hobby. She was a very talented artist. She enjoyed painting portraits and sculpting figurines. She most enjoyed being with her family.

She will always be remembered as the sweetest, most kindhearted, loving soul. She loved big and gave even more. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Otis Rockett, brother Danny Rowe, her husband Kenneth Pickard, and grandson Casey Malone. She is survived by her sister Carolyn Benskin, son and daughter-in-law Kenny & Debbie Pickard, son Terry Pickard, daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Dennis Dyer, & daughter Reneé Meaux, grandkids Brian Malone, Rachal Malone, Christopher & wife Julie Malone, Kenny Pickard Jr., Cassandra & husband Jessie Smith, Adam Pickard, Taylor Meaux & fiancé Abbi, Alex & wife Shae Meaux, Dale & wife Amy Dyer, and Darby Dyer, 10 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at Pine Tree Church of Christ, 3221 Dundee Rd, Longview, TX 75604, US, on March 31, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Service at Pine Tree Church of Christ on March 31, 2026, at 11:00 am.
