Michelle was born on September 2, 1972, in Jacksonville, Texas, to her loving parents Eska and Danny Rider. She was raised in Hurst, Texas, where she grew up surrounded by family, laughter, and love. Michelle graduated from Haltom High School in 1989.
Michelle lived life with joy, enthusiasm, and a spirit that was impossible to miss. She loved all genres of music with a special place in her heart for Elvis. If she wasn’t listening to her favorite songs you could find her watching movies with some of her favorites being Terminator, Mrs. Doubtfire, Goonies and just about anything that was a comedy or thriller. One of the greatest joys of her life was being part of the Special Olympics, where she proudly participated in bocce ball earning many blue ribbons—an accomplishment she cherished deeply.
Those who knew Michelle will forever remember her as someone full of life and personality, with an infectious laugh, a bashful smile, and a gentle, kind, and welcoming spirit. She had a special way of making others feel loved and accepted, and her presence brought light to every room.
Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Ernie Daniel Rider; her maternal grandparents, Leroy Earl Parchman wife Elvena Solly Parchman; her paternal grandparents, Olen Rider and wife Mae; and her uncle, Michael Rider, lovingly known as “Uncle Mikey.”
Today we celebrate Michelle’s homecoming. She has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and is now experiencing the fullness of joy in Heaven. Her laughter, kindness, and beautiful spirit live on as a testament to God’s love and the promise of eternal life. Though she will be deeply missed, we rejoice knowing she is whole, joyful, and forever at peace in the presence of her Savior.
