Patricia Ann Savony

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of Patricia's passing. On May 20, 2024, she peacefully departed while surrounded by her loved ones at home after bravely fighting colon cancer. Patricia, aged 75, has transitioned to be with her Lord and Savior, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever live in our hearts.

Born on November 29, 1948, in Longview, Texas, to Clyde and Virginia Claxton, Patricia had a strong foundation in family values and love. She was dearly loved by her daughter Ginger Savony Malone, husband Jules Savony of 54 years, and granddaughters Emily and Madelyn Malone, who affectionately knew her as 'NANA.' She was also blessed with her Dortch family, Vicki and Jim Jones, Seleta and Delwin Lovell, Rick and Suzan Dortch, Jason Cummins and wife Alana, Jonathan Dortch, Amanda Kimberlin and husband Kevin, Crystal Tipton and husband Kelly, Cassity Jones and wife Lexie, and Lacy Hamilton and husband Chad.

Our beloved Patricia was preceded in death by her loving parents, Virginia Claxton Dortch and Clyde Claxton, as well as her stepfather, Richard Dortch. Her loving and devoted-in laws, George and Mary Savony and her brother-in law Bill Savony. She also joins a host of dear family members who have passed on including aunts and uncles, Thelma Brown, Dorothy Burgin, Erma Bowles, Beatrice Piccione, Edward Malnar, Billy Ray Hunt, Ross Hunt and James Hunt.

~Patricia was an integral part of her community and a long-standing member of First Baptist Church, Longview. She dedicated her time as a stay-at-home mother to her only child, Ginger. She actively participated in various fundraisers and events during her daughter's school years. Additionally, Patricia was a member of the Town and Country Garden Club, where she found joy in cultivating nature.

A successful businesswoman, Patricia opened Kountry Cubered Kitchen with Jules upon their return from Germany. In 1992, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey with Mary Kay Cosmetics, achieving the rank of Director within the company and guiding others to success. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, particularly as a doting Nana to Emily and Madelyn, whom she supported wholeheartedly for 23 years.

A Celebration of Life honoring Patricia Savony will take place on May 31, 2024, from 10 am to 12 pm at The Summit Club, 3700 Judson Road, Longview, Texas 75605.
