Peggy J Johnson

Peggy J Johnson, 88, of Longview, Texas, passed away January 3, 2016 at her residence. She was born April 11, 1927 in Burkburnett, TX to Bronson Guy and Mattie Lorena Bradley Good. She attended White Oak Schools and graduated in the Class of 1944. She married Thomas Tuttle Johnson December 11, 1947 in Phoenix City, Alabama. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1977. After his death, she went to back to business school. Once out of school, she went to work for Lakeview Funeral Home as their bookkeeper, until she retired in 1998.

She is survived by her daughters: Penny Beasley and her husband Ken of Lumberton, TX, and Tina Brandt of Longview; grandchildren: Jennifer Petkovsek and her husband Kyle of San Diego, CA, Michael Beasley and his wife Maegan of Ft. Polk, LA, Edward Rose and his wife Heather of Fredricksburg, VA, Kelly Garrett and her husband Doug of Longview, T.J. Brandt and his wife Emily of Longview, Eve Brandt and her husband Bill of Houston; great grandchildren: Logan and Luke Petkovsek, Melony Weaver, Colton Beasley, Rylee Rhodes, Mickayla and Bradley Rose, Konner Root, Natalie Dwyer, Kaysin and Mason Brandt, Isabella Rose, D. J. Garrett; brother: Jimmy Good of San Antonio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother: Guy Good, and sister: Mary Russell.

Visitation will be held, from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2016 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Pastor Gary May officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org/donate.
