Robert is a veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a sharp dressed man that enjoyed playing golf, a yearly trip to Branson, bowling on a league with his brothers, but he really loved to dance. Robert was an excellent dancer and taught dancing lessons at the Rio for a while. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Robert was the same for everyone and often said take me for who I am or don't take me at all.
Robert is survived by; mother Mary Alice Holder Dent; brother Jessie Dent, sister-in-law Sondra Dent, brother Vernon Wayne Dent, sister-in-law Pam Dent, brother Richard Earl Dent and sister-in-law Patricia Dent; nephew Brad Dent, nephew Stacy Dent, niece-in-law Niki Dent, nephew Richard James Dent, niece-in-law Monica Dent, nephew Gary Dent, niece-in-law Susan Dent and uncle Oscar Dent.
Robert was preceded in death by; father Vernon Oliver Dent; brother Billy Ray Dent and brother Michael Oliver Dent.
A graveside service for Robert will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 W Harrison Road, Longview, Texas 75604. Following the graveside, Robert will be entombed at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
