Services for Verna Mae (Hardin) Arnold, 85, of Longview will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2-3 May 30, 2015. The family would like to greet friends at the funeral home.
Verna went to be with the Lord in the early morning of Thursday, May 28, 2015, surrounded by family.
Verna Arnold was born in Vivian, La. on Feb. 17, 1930 to loving parents Reuben R. and Nettie L. Hardin. She met and married the love of her life in Falfurrias, Tx. and married Sherman H. Arnold Jr. (J.R.) on Sept.26, 1948
She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved family trips and crosswords.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents Reuben and Nettie Hardin; son, Dennis H. Arnold; and sister, Aletta Marie Schuetz.
Those left to cherish the memory of Verna include her husband of 66 years, Sherman H. Arnold, Jr, (J.R.); her daughter, Penny Arnold Dean; granddaughter, Holly Ann Richardson and her husband Jerad N. Richardson; great-grandson Hunter Drake Richardson, one brother-in-law and numerous sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
