Bette Cooper Scott was born in Los Angeles, CA to Mr. and Mrs. Ted R. Cooper; she had two older brothers, Bruce and Don. She attended Beverly Hills High School, Finch (NY), and graduated from USC, where she joined the Kappa Alpha Theta sisterhood. She was an enthusiastic member of many wonderful organizations while living in Los Angeles, including the Junior League, Assistance League, Las Floristas (Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center), Les Amies (Children's Institute), and the Bel Air Garden Club. She loved vacationing both on the tropical beaches of Hawaii and the snowy slopes of Sun Valley, ID. Summers were spent sailing and waterskiing at Lake Arrowhead, where she was a lifelong member of the Yacht Club and where she met her husband, Edward Hofert Scott. They were married in 1955. Bette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed dearly by her husband of 62 years, Edward, her three sons Scott (Robin), Mark (Shelly), Bart (Leigh Ann), eight grandchildren: Drew, Evan, Alexandra, Brett, Stuart, Annabel, Cole and Carson, and two great-grandchildren: Lyla Grace and Wyatt Cooper. The entire Scott family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Maria Pineda for decades of devoted care, love, and companionship to each of us and especially to Bette. A service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
