Carlton Tinch Evans, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Theodore Evans and Etta Simms, and carried with him the values of kindness, family, and a deep appreciation for life.
Carlton is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Rosa Isela Evans, who was his unwavering companion and love. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, memories, and devotion. He is also survived by his daughters Sandra Rios, Brenda Rios, Lorena Rios, and Andrea Hernandez; 15 cherished grandchildren; and 10 adored great-grandchildren. His legacy of love continues through them.
He also leaves behind his dear brothers, David Evans and Hershel Evans, who shared in the memories of their youth and family heritage.
Carlton had a passion for sports, faithfully cheering on his beloved Dodgers and the Chicago Cubs. A true enthusiast of vintage cars, he found joy in the sleek lines and nostalgia of classic automobiles. His mornings often began with a hot cup of coffee, a quiet ritual he enjoyed and cherished.
A collector of baseball caps and a man with a gentle soul, Carlton was known for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and his genuine love for life. Above all, he was a family man—dedicated, supportive, and deeply proud of those he loved.
Carlton’s warm presence will be missed by all who knew him, especially his loyal dog, Coco, who never left his side.
His family and friends take comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in each life he touched.
