Candelario Mitre and loving mother Herminia Herrera Castillo Mitre.
He passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday February 19th, 2025 at the age of 50.
He was the youngest of 7 children. Jesse is survived by older brother German Castillo and sisters,
Maria del Carmen Castillo Razo, Maria Filomena Castillo Robles and Irma Mitre Corza.
He was preceded in death by his sister Maria del Refugio Castillo Torres and brother Feliciano Castillo.
Raised in East L.A. by his mother and older siblings, family was everything to Jesse.
After graduating from El Monte High School in 1993. Jesse learned the lifelong importance of hard work early, as he hustled and learned alongside his brother German’s family business.
In 1996 he met Adriana Gaviria Mitre, they fell deeply in love and married a few years later…starting his own family and home life in 2002. Jesse worked very hard for his goals, his family and lifestyle. Ran a tight ship at work and at home.
Jesse was a devoted, caring and loving Father to his two daughters,
Sofia Helena Mitre and Isabel Ynez Mitre. His greatest loves!
He loved to laugh and joke with friends and family. He bonded with his brother in laws Hector, Jaime and Tonio. Loved his older Sisters and all of his nephews and nieces so much. He was a big playful kid at heart. Christmas and Halloween were his favorite and getting the family together for backyard grilling and memories too.
He found joy and peace in music, he was a great selector and lover of many types of music. Happiest bonding with his guy friends over Sports, Sarcasm, drinks and smokes. Many laughs and heated exchanges about the Lakers, Dodgers, Notre Dame Football and of course, the rivals!
He loved and protected his daughters enormously; He is definitely their guardian Angel looking over his girls from Heaven. He called them everyday to tell them he loved them and check in with them.
They will honor him and miss him forever.
He also touched the heart of many he worked with and old dear friends that became family to this day.
Jesse’s humor, generosity and deep love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
Until we meet again Jess, we love you. Rest in Peace, Mas.
