Shirley Ann Barajas was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She was married to the love of her life, Ruben Barajas, for 42 wonderful years, and together they built a family that was always at the center of Shirley’s heart.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ruben Barajas; her daughters, Melissa Franco and Melissa Barajas; and her cherished granddaughters, Posie Ann Elizarraraz and Phoebe Ann Elizarraraz, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Shirley had a deep love for Mexican food, road trips, and traveling—especially when those adventures included visits to casinos and time spent playing the slot machines she enjoyed so much. She found happiness in baking for others and loved her Bloody Marys.
Family was Shirley’s greatest priority. She was endlessly giving of herself, often putting the needs of friends and loved ones before her own. She carried the memory of her mother close to her heart throughout her life, honoring her in quiet and meaningful ways.
Known for her attention to detail, Shirley had a special fondness for neatly pressed clothes—never hesitating to iron something for you if she thought it could look just a little better. This small act reflected her loving nature and her desire to care for those around her.
Shirley Ann Barajas will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and the love she so freely gave. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
