MATSUOKA, Takuo (“Tak”) passed away suddenly but peacefully with his family by his side on February 7, 2012 at the age of 73. An avid golfer and talented athlete, committed family-man, and selfless community-member and friend, Takuo was also an accomplished electrical engineer and a member of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society, having graduated from UCLA with master’s and bachelor’s degrees. He is survived by his devoted wife Hitomi; loving daughters Michelle Yoko and Karen Yoshiko; his grateful mother-in-law Kazuko Kuwabara; four doting sisters Teruyo Matsuoka, Kimiko Tomomori, Chizuko Masaki, Kumiko Fujita; many nieces and nephews; loyal friends; and beloved pet Sausage. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 1PM, at the Westwood Hills Christian Church, 10808 Le Conte Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024.
