Elisabeth Allebe passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, in Arroyo Grande, CA. Born Elisabeth Beux, in Paris, France in 1950, she brought super energy to all of her passions in life as a devoted mother, pre-school teacher, and nature and music lover. She worked and went to school in Paris before meeting the love of her life, Christopher Allebe, a Los Angeles Police Department Officer, on a trip to the Club Med in Picchiota, Italy in 1971. They married seven months later, settled in Redondo Beach, CA and had their only daughter, Adrienne, in 1979. For the next 17 years they formed close friendships, relished beach life and traveled all over the globe (Club Meds being a preferred destination) before moving to Los Osos, California in 1989. There, Elisabeth began teaching at Village Children's Center, forming close friendships with her colleagues and developing deep connections within the Los Osos community. In her later years, she developed a love for hiking on the Central Coast, walking on the beach with her sisters, dancing to live music with a tight-knit group of friends and Zumba. Elisabeth will be remembered for her fierce devotion to family, teaching children, French cooking and speaking her mind. She was much loved and will be missed by many. Elisabeth is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Allebe, sisters and nephews. A small private service will be held for immediate family. If you would like to honor Elisabeth, please make a donation in her name to the American Kidney Fund or California State Parks.
