

Florentina was born on April 27, 1922, in Tabtabgan, Banna, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, to Lucresia Valentino and Luis Castisimo. She spent her early years in Tabtabagan and Cagayan, Philippines.
She was first married to Castor Tomas, with whom she had five children: Art, Arnold, Floraida, Rolly, and Julie. After Castor’s early passing, Florentina raised her children with strength and devotion, with the help and support of her remarriage to Rizalino Tomas. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Florentina lived a life defined by hard work, humility, and unwavering devotion to family. She was a dedicated farmer, housekeeper, and nurturing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
On September 22, 1979, Florentina immigrated to the United States through San Francisco. She continued her lifelong role as the heart of her family, living in and caring for loved ones across several California communities, including Westminster, Riverside, Irvine, Buena Park, Anaheim, and Los Osos.
Throughout her life, she lovingly supported and helped raise her five children, their spouses, 17 grandchildren, their spouses, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Florentina Tomas will be remembered for her strength, selflessness, and unconditional love. Her legacy lives on through the many generations she nurtured and the lives she touched.
