Shaina Joy Abrams The sun shines dimmer these days, and the edges of our hearts are torn and bruised in her absencebut Shaina's irrefutable energy, and her unedited joy and irresistible charm, are timely and timeless. The white light that radiates from her core burns bright and is steady and true. She is not really gone after all; she is simply around the bend and in the next room; out of sight, perhaps, but forever accessible in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Shaina lived a lot of life in her 25 short years, and she leaves a heart-print in her wake. Shaina attended Sinsheimer Elementary, Laguna Middle School and graduated from Pacific Beach High School in San Luis Obispo. She was currently attending Cuesta College working towards a Nursing degree. A woman of many pursuits and interests, Shaina explored her entrepreneurial talents by working as a caretaker, housekeeper, organizer, and gutter cleaner! The arts and sciences were her passion. She had a love of the natural world, biology, music and all kinds of animals. Shaina is survived by her parents, Scott and Diane Abrams, and her brother, Sam Abrams, all of San Luis Obispo, Calif., In addition, she leaves behind extended family members and loved ones in California, Florida, Missouri, and elsewhere. She fostered forever-friendships wherever her travels took her. Shaina was hugely appreciated and admired, and she will be deeply missed. The kindness of her deeds, the gentleness of her spirit, and the incredible love she gave to all is the legacy she leaves that will touch us forever. A chapel service, followed by a graveside vigil, will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016, at 10:00am at the Los Osos Valley Memorial Park, 2260 Los Osos Valley Rd., Los Osos. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable and colorful clothes in honor of Shaina's energy and light.
