

Manuel “Buster” Bernard Navarro born on August 20, 1918 in Victorville, Ca, passed away on September 30, 2015 in Morro Bay, Ca in his home. Preceded in death by his spouse, Doramae, in 1985 (married 45 years), sons Lawrence, Kenneth, Paul Navarro, father Refugio (died in 1918 influenza epidemic), mother Maurilia, step father Maximo Lomeli, sisters Aurora and Jessi. Survived by daughters Regina Neel and Marianne Cates, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins in Victorville. He was a WW II veteran; US Coast Guard stationed in Okinawa Island during the war and specialized in the training and use of sentry dogs. He worked about 20 years in Retail Clerks grocery business then owned his own bar in San Dimas. He moved to Morro Bay where he worked at Roses Landing and Eagles until age of 83 after about 45 years as a bartender. He was an avid reader and loved gardening and outdoors. He also loved his family and friends greatly. They all meant a lot to him. He passed away in his home per his wishes with the help of Wilshire Hospice and the loving care of his live in caregiver and friend, Angie. Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass at St. Williams Catholic Church on October 23, 2015 in Atascadero at 11:00 am, Followed by a graveside service with military honors at Los Osos Valley Memorial Park in Los Osos.
