Alberta Walker, 95, was born on September 30, 1921 in Hazard, KY to the late Floyd and Mary Elizabeth (Deaton) Stidham, and passed from this life on August 2, 2017. She was retired from General Electric. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Aster Walker, and a daughter, Mary Ann Ray. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Kenneth Walker and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins; and her faithful companion, “Alex”. A service to celebrate Alberta’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
