She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents; James (Big Jim) Cary, Anna Cary and Juanita Bailey, grandfather; Darnell Gray, Uncle; Jeremy Gray, and cousin; Gene Cary.

Left to cherish the wonderful memory of Alexus, her parents; Rachael Leasor (Brian Moriarty) and LeSean Gray (Dorothy), her brothers; Solomon Conley, LeSean Gray Jr., Gabriel Gray, William Cortie and Domanic Massie, her sisters; Shawntell Gray, Aliyah Gray, Kamryn, Penny and Breanna Newton, her maternal great-grandfather; Roy Bailey, maternal grandparents; Tonya and Garret Harris, paternal grandmother; Shannon Dudley, maternal aunts and uncles; Ann Jeanette and Giles Lehto, Brandon Schneider (Rebecca), Cory Schneider (Krystal), Jake Schneider, Nick Schneider, cousins; Tina and Mehrdad Vaziri, Elaina Lehto, Savannah Lehto and Anna Lehto, amongst many other cousins and extended family.

With Alexus passing we want to remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. We will miss her terribly, especially her rare, contagious smile! She will forever remain in our hearts.

We made many wonderful memories with Alexus in her short, yet meaningful, 16 years and will hold dear the memories of her bright spirit, firecracker attitude and infectious hugs. She could spend countless hours listening to music and playing with her dogs. She loved photography and mandalas. She was always forthright with her opinions.

We are finding some comfort knowing that Alexus did not pass alone; she had her kindred spirit, Isiah Basham, by her side.

A celebration of Alexus’ life will take place on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 6pm at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road, with Pastor Theo Mackey officiating. A memorial gathering will be from 1pm until service time at the funeral home.
