Alonzo Wathen III, 79, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, passed away December 27, 2020. He was born August 19, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late James Wathen and Alice O'Neil. He was retired from Greenlee Textron and was an Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ingrid Ann Wathen; and 7 of his siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Elizabeth Wathen(Anthony Cheatum), Alonzo Wathen IV, and Susie Wathen; grandchildren, Phillip Muthler(Crystal), Candace Brockman(Daniel), Alisha Beach, Alonzo Wathen V(Karla), and Zachary Wathen; 15 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Prentice Wathen, Rose Santana, Patti Lou, and Donna Wathen.
Funeral service will be 2pm Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Evergreen Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am until the time of the service.
