Anna Mae Powers, 97, of Louisville, passed away on April 28, 2016. She was an active member of St. James Church for over 90 years. She retired from LG&E after 27 years as a billing clerk. She loved music and was a gifted pianist.
Anna Mae was born on December 21, 1918 in Louisville to the late Edward and Anna May (Mueller) Hill. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Lawson Hill and Virginia Klein and her son Gerald Lee Meyers.
Anna Mae is survived by her husband, Gavin Thomas Powers, her son, Dale Meyers (Leona), 5 grandchildren; Denise Turner (Jeff), Kathy Davis (Michael), Cindy Gnadinger (John), Allan Meyers (Liz), and Darren Meyers (Valerie), 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
Funeral services for Mrs. Powers will be held at noon Monday at St. James Church, 3535 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Sunday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. and after 10 am Monday at the church.
